Change the Featured Resources system

Some time ago I requested the positioning of my resource in featured resources and I have realized that it is practically impossible to advertise it and that the same users are always in this section so I decided to write this suggestion.

Suggestion:
Add a delay and maximum positioning time
Example: If a user has been positioned in this section for 1 month, he or she should wait a while before positioning a resource again
> Maximum positioning time could be 1-2 months <

Why is it worth implementing?
In my opinion, it is worth implementing it, as other users could advertise their resources in this section and would not always be the same.

We could always make them more expensive to decrease demand so that it equalizes with supply.

Or allow for x featured resources per category, so that each category has 3 or so featured resources, and the main page shuffles through them all.

Or both.

Preventing interested buyers from buying isn’t very logical though.

I guess any way to increase the amount of featured resources slots is fine

We are featuring these resources by some months ago, and we still paying for it, just wait until someone stops featuring their resource as I waited to advise my resource...

Also, you can always advise your resource on setups category by buying a sticky thread

I understand the issue here, and that it can be frustrating to wait. It doesn’t really make sense to prevent long-term purchasers from continuing to feature their resource, though, as they’ve obviously waited themselves and have been paying for the slot all this time.
I’d say that what Justis suggested would be much more beneficial for everyone. With many categories, some categories could be cheaper, some more expensive, to account for demand. There would also be more opportunities overall for people to feature their stuff. Seems like it would be more of a happy medium.

Instead of this what we are going to do is adjust the featured resources system to allow up to 3 featured resources per category, and also make it so that each category has prices appropriate for the demand.
