Change the following rule (1.16)

I believe that completely getting rid of "referral links" is a bit extreme considering a lot of times referral links give people incentives to share useful information and sites that they might not otherwise share. I think a fair and reasonable compromise would be people are able to post referral links however they must say next to it that it is a referral link and then must also give the regular link. This is a similar policy that is adopted on many large forums.

I don't see the reason for this rule in the first place either - I fail to see how this can be dangerous to the community or MC-Market itself. I completely agree with your point about it giving incentives for people to share interesting sites.

Glad someone else shares my opinion, I mean I know personally, the link in my bio is an affiliate link and I probably wouldn't be sharing the site if I didn't earn a little bit for each person that signs up. Their is no harm in it at all, I just think people shouldn't be able to spam their links everywhere which doesn't tend to happen that much.

The only way it would be risky would be to indirectly encourage the spamming of links. However, I feel like limiting referral to signatures and/or profiles would really help with that.

People can put ip loggers and many other things on redirect links, they should stay banned for the safety of users on MCM.

If you can put that on redirect links, what's stopping you from putting it on normal links too?
