So yeah.
Basically, in early August, the vouch rating existed, until the original owner (Verringer - @Founder) changed it to "winner" due to many users comparing it to a user's reputation.
This is pretty stupid, and if you ask the community, they would all like it changed back. The vouch rating was incredibly useful, and symbolised so much - but now, the winner rating is pretty much completely useless except as a sarcastic rating.
Anyway, let me know.
Kitcat.

I definitely agree with this. I've never understood why it was changed in the first place. It had a function on this website that was perfectly fine and it wasn't really abused like other ratings were. People used vouches when they were vouching for someone most the time.

I have no idea what was wrong with the way it was. Just like many of the other changes made on this site, it was completely unnecessary and I hope it can be fixed.

I still think the trading system was better, but +1.

+1, would be great and makes much more sense.

Maybe another rating count under the "reactions" that says "Vouches" and only counts the "Winner" Ratings so that users don't have to put it all in their signature. Just a suggestion...

Also - had 27x agrees before, now you can't see them in the Suggestions area because they now use a slightly different rating (Agree [Suggestions]).

Wait, I didn't reply to this?
well, here we go.
At the moment, there is no 'rating' that's a vouch. The result is that people type "vouch" instead. Not a major change in itself, you'd think. They're both still mostly empty vouches.

But it is slowly changing to a system where people actually say what they're vouching for. This will end up with each vouch having actual meaning. Instead of needing 100 vouch ratings to count, you'd need only 10 legit vouches or so.

So why would we not want vouches back as ratings?
Abuse: it's way too easy to just click a button and 'vouch' for someone. encourages reaction farming.

"empty" vouches: We've all had friends and colleagues vouch for us while they've never dealt with us, and sometimes even barely know us. they just like us and therefore decide to vouch. Those are meaningless, since they do not count towards a user being reliable.
Right now, without the vouch rating, that's still a prevalent thing.
So what's the difference? As I mentioned before, more and more people are actually explaining what a person did to earn the vouch. making them valuable.

Implementation: How would you want it implemented? reset all current 'winner' ratings? add a new separate rating?

Redundancy: With vouch becoming a rating/reaction again, the same person could give me a rating on every separate thread, and it would count as total rating, even though it's from 1 deal. I could have 100 vouch ratings, yet have only dealt with maybe 10 people, because I've got numerous selling threads that they use the vouch rating on.
