Change Winner Rating back to Vouch

Since Mick is owner I was hoping he would change back a mistake Verringer made. A Load of people use Winner as Vouch anyways and it is the closest it gets to a rep system on here atm. Since winner realistically is bary used for its actual purpose and is used as vouch can we please change it back to vouch? K ty.

What's wrong with Winner?

It directs people's attention to your product or service, people saying it's a winner yay.
Basically a vouch? Maybe. But not all the time.
And we don't want people confusing ratings with reputation.
It may not look like there's a system...
But there is.
People write reviews on your service page/profile.
And if anyone wants to challenge your legitimacy, they have actual written references with which to judge you.
It's a lot harder to fake numerous written reviews.
And if they are fake, it's pretty easy to tell.
That's the vouch system.

We don't need to confuse everyone with a vouch rating.

People still look at the "Winner" rating as a "Vouch" rating. - I could go either way on this one. :)

the entire concept of the "winner" rating being the equivalent of a vouch is weird. The entire concept of the amount of ratings having to do with the reputation of the user is prohibitive, and the reason Verringer changed it is to get rid of that association.

If you want a vouch, get someone to vouch for you by posting in one of your threads (where relevant) or on your profile, and preferably stating the reason why they're vouching.

Its all too easy to farm "winner" ratings, as you can farm any ratings.
If you look at someone's total of "winner" ratings it may include a dozen ratings from the same user, thus making them seem more reliable by the prejudice involved.
Whereas if a person vouches by post, it is a much more one-time thing. The rating system introduces an inflation of the value of vouches that makes it nearly impossible for new people to join the community without giving out an enormous amount of vouch copies, whereas without the rating for it they would only need a handful to compare.

and as we all know, ratings are no guarantee at all. I need only say 'Jurhed' for most people to know what I mean.

Verringer made a decision for a valid reason, and I don't think Mick will be undoing it anytime soon
