Changing Name conflicts to non-mcm account

I tried changing my name to "Lost" and it failed. I tried to search for the McM account but it was only a minecraft account associated to zyastra.

Names which were recently associated to another profile in the past aren't available either.
e.g. If I changed my name to BillyBob, you would not be able to change your name to Justis R.
I would still have the ability to change my name back to Justis R after my month-long cooldown.
This is not a bug, it is intentional.

I assure you, MC-Market's name changing process doesn't take MC accounts into consideration.
They are completely independent from each other.
The only reasonable explanation to why you would not be able to have an acceptable name which is not currently in use, is because it was in use previously, by another member who has since changed it.
