I'll clarify that I used my PayPal balance to send the money, not a bank/credit card/etc.

Risking getting my account closed because I want the $200 doesn't seem worth it IMO.
Fair do's - isn't it possible to transfer your paypal balance to your card? Or just create a new account and pay all the money to there? ;)

Clearly you didn't understand what you (in the OP) or I wrote ;)
If you want to cancel it, then theres no way you can get your money back.
If you use the method I described, theres still a chance that you can get your money back but then theres a problem that you might have to 'lose' your card.

You asked which you should do, I'm offering a way that doesn't make losing so bad and you still have a chance of winning.
What's there to lose? His paypal account.. I've already had to make 2 new accounts this year. One got closed so they could do the "review process of my latest activity" because I got 27 transactions from the same exact person.. and he charged-backed them all, and got a lot of charge-backs as well. Lost a lot of money with it. There was no way to fight it without hiring a lawyer, which I then did not bother to as I move countries quite frequently.

We've just been through this ;)

Sorry to hear about that

Yes, it is possible to withdraw your funds. I do that all the time, I never let my paypal balance go over 1.5k in-case they decide to close it for "reviewing my latest activity"

I guess I'll move everything to a second account that's already made. If I win the dispute, cool, otherwise I have nothing to lose if they close the account.

Make sure the second account is already verified, when you fight a chargeback. An actual human person (PayPal employee) checks over your records etc. Generally you don't want too much attention brought to your account frequently.

Good luck! I hope all this turns out well for you. :)

Just sent all my money to my alternate account... under my name. It's verified, has a bank linked to it and all that good stuff.

I didn't get limited, so that's a first.

Let's just hope if they decide to close my other account all the other payments aren't reversed. Because what I'm doing is pretty sketchy atm.

The only concern I have at this point is if they reverse that payment to my other account if they decide to close my account.

Can't you cancel the payment from the bank?
That's why we know who Steven did for his OVH server that was a scam xD
If the money came from the bank, you can call the bank and they might be able to cancel the payment, before PayPal takes the money (30 days after).

Going to cancel it, the scammer wins this round. I'll consider this a lesson to never send shit as friends and family again.

Will be cancelling when I get home unless someone provides a good reason why I shouldn't.

I've sent all my money to an verified alt account under the same name, it's already shady enough for PayPal, and as soon as they review it they're going to see these two accounts under the same name and IP... Yeah.

I cancelled the dispute, being the little bitch that I am.

Can't risk having my account closed, and any other money sent to my alt accounts reversed as well. I'll take this as a lesson to always use goods and services when dealing with shady kids on this site.

ToxicSigma please chargeback your payment if you can. As long as this kid gets some sort of money withdrawn from him, I'm happy.
