hello!

I was recently scammed $80 for an Instagram account on PayPal and I sent friends and family. I tried to charageback but lost the dispute, does anyone know how I could get my money back? Or what to do in case this happens again to win the dispute?

F&F can only be won through unauthorized payment without social engineering, which I have never successfully done lel!

PayPal is very unforgiving of individuals who use F&F to send payments. Even if you claimed it was your little brother, PayPal have no way of verifying that - They'll just go by the login logs for your account, and dismiss the claim out of hand. In general, all PayPal will tell you to do is to contact the other party outside of PayPal - They'll wipe their hands clean and that's the end of it, as that's all they've really said they'd do.

So essentially, as the general commentary suggests, you're completely out of luck. And also, legal action is a comical idea - The best you could do is try to damage the other user's PayPal account, but it'll just end up looking bad on you as any proof will show you acted equally as far outside of their ToS.
