Charitable Fundraiser Idea

Hey,
I am a server owner who is currently not working on any projects however I had a long thinking session on my own on where the MC server community was going and all I see is servers milking money and not really giving back to the community and then I thought of a server idea where Each month is dedicated to a different charity such as Make A Wish or Save The Children or Cancer Research etc. The owners will get completely nothing and 85% would go into the charity we are fundraising for that month and the 15% into running the server and all these payouts to charities and statistics will be public for everyone to view. I just thought of doing this idea as most owners do 1 map and then sell the server but what if the mc community came together to actually give back?

Let me know your thoughts as I have currently spoke to Dexter and EmmaPlays and they are both on board with it

We are not looking for just Media Influencers but Developers and sponsorships to help raise awareness for different charities.

I’d just hope you provide proper reciepts each month

Yes like stated above we will providing all transaction proof of where the money went to run the server and where the rest of the money went just want to give back to charities in a fun way because people make grands upon grands within one release and what if all that money went to a charity like Unicef? it would make a huge change

I’d hope everyone working has the proper dedication for working on the server as it is pretty much nonprofit

I’ve never been a fan of charities as mostly it never comes out being a visible difference which is a completely different argument

VOUCH! Sounds like a good idea. Will need some fine tuning for transparency reasons, but it could be a success. Must still be a good experience for players since we all know they would not give a damn if it was not a good server.

Thanks for the feedback and yes it does need some fine tuning but me and hohos wanted everyone's thoughts on it before going ahead with the idea

Looks like Dexter & EmmaPlays just responded too you saying they liked the idea, doesn't seem like their "on board"

Dude they are on board and dexter just needs to come off his contract with VanityMC and his contract allows him to be with servers that VanityMC doesn’t have such as kitpvp etc so maybe not trash anyway it’s fine
