Charity Server?

Hello All,

A while back I posted on here a thread about running a server that is meant for charity. As in both those who take part in charity events to raise money or even join and simply have fun during. This year I brought up the idea to CreeperHost to provide a server, which they agreed too.

While I could go google around pre-made hubs. I'm wanting to pitch to this community if anyone would be up for helping get the server rolling as in help build, give advice and more. This server will be open to the public and for those that do charity events no matter if it's Extra Life (Which is what I take part in each year.)

Some of you did get in touch with me, but never replied back. It was simply one message and never wrote back. Plus checking today some never came back to site after sending the one message. So would like to chat with any of you that would like to help out. Last year for Extra Life I was able to raise over $5,000 to help kids. I'm wanting this world to be created to give everyone a safe place and others to play with when streaming Minecraft and other games for 24 hours.

Honestly, any type of help. While the sever is taken care of, it's more or less getting everything rolling. I see a lot of stuff online running 1.8, but I know most people will be updated to the latest version of Minecraft. So looking for help to get things rolling such as (I'll most likely look around for a pre-made hub) and from there not sure what plugins and other things still work. Spigot, Bukkit and I know there is another few other things many server owners work with.

As stated I want something that works will as both a nice place to hang out, go claim your own land and build away, go play games, etc.

Thanks! Yeah, I've looked at plugins, but I see so many that either brake after an update or they never get updated to work with the next update that comes along.

I've found a hub to use, which has a total of 12 gates that can be used for things such as creative, adventure, mini-games, etc. As for me, I'm not sure what plugins I should use to create said gates, add other "worlds" for said users to be sent to within the hub. Any help would be great.

So you want a hub? That would require multiple servers and a bungeecord server as well.

CreeperHost is providing a server for me. I wasn't sure if I simply had to have "different" worlds within the same folder. So if a plugin is used, it'll tell users to teleport to another map. I can update them since I'm partnered with them to change it to a bungeecord server if needed. As for how to get everything setup per making the gates and so forth. I have no clue.

Hub servers require multiple servers for each individual game mode. Having one, huge server with all types of mini games is simply not ideal as that will require lots, and lots, and then lots, then more lots of RAM and room! If you want the server to be playable, I highly recommend using seperate servers for each gamemode, then using a bungeecord server as you said.
