No, but jokes aside, Namecheap does offer a .com for $10 Normally. Why other sites (Godaddy, 1&1 and some others) offer a .com for $1, FOR YOU FIRST YEAR, and then it becomes $18 afterwards.
So it really depends, if you want a long lasting domain, use namecheap, but if you want one for like a year then use the $1 method.
btw, both of those 1&1 and Godaddy, only do it $1 for your first purchase.
