So I hate staring at these new profile gifs. It gives me epilepsy and other shit. No but seriously it hurts my eyes and draws them away. They are everywere. Please make an option for us to disable moving images. Obviously lots of people want to keep them so I might get a lot of disagrees but I don't want them gone just the ability for me to disable them.

Yeah TBH members with gifs should set solid and moving images and then people can choose to disable gifs and display the solid picture

I like how many who agreed to this thread HAVE A GIF IN THEIR SIGNATURE.

If you don't like them, get a chrome add-on to disable them.

GIFs are all over this site, in signature banners, threads, and on the side advertisements. I don't mind them.

We are ok with gifs like this:

This is a great suggestion and I definitely think it should be able to be toggled in preferences (similar to how Snow is currently).

Since this suggestion was made we have updated our rules to be more clear about posting site-impairing content like extremely obnoxious epilepsy-inducing GIFs as profile pictures.

I don't feel like this is a necessary addition to make to the site. If someone has a profile picture that is too flashy please report it and it'll be dealt with.
