Clean up the hosting forum

Hello!

So currently the Hosting section is pretty messy with various duplicate requesting threads from people looking for the same 2gb mc server as everyone else, as well as offering threads from both summer hosts (hosts that only last a few months) and the real hosts trying to actually make something.

I think it would be best to split the section into a few sub forums.

Requesting - Users can post and request hosting that fits their needs.

Hosts - A section where anyone can offer hosting services.

Verified Hosts - A section that has requirements to post in. Skme requirements maybe include:
- Legal company registration such as an LLC or sole proprietorship.
- Be in business for more than 6 months.
- Business reputation (possibly no less than X positive rep on the user offering services).

Maybe 2 of 3 requirements must be met.

General Discussion - Users can post review threads, ask for help, etc.

Also just a side note Mick, this can make you more money on sticky threads as you’d have 2 hosting sub forums to buy a sticky from, hosts and verified hosts.

Please let me know your thoughts as I’d like to hear what others think could be done to organize this better.

Mick and Justis It's getting to that time of the year again, where we'll see a large volume of them flooding in.

Would we be able to get an official response on this, and potentially implementation / partial implementation of this?

A few weeks back, Mick said it'll be done next update. The update was released just recently without this.

I think you guys don't understand the importance of this. Additionally, summer is coming up and it would be nice to avoid the low quality summerhosts.

I asked Mick about this before our previous announcement, and his statement was along the lines of wanting to work out the present issues with moderation before drastically changing the way one of MC-Market's more popular forums is moderated.
Part of that is ensuring the staff team is all making proper use of the new reputation moderation utilities, and ensuring that they're functioning properly. The reputation addon needed changes, and is undergoing additional development.
Mick should be active again shortly from his temporarily leave of absence.
When he does, hopefully we can wrap up the reputation changes and look into more moderation improvements such as this.

Why do suggestions like these take so long? The thread was made over a year ago and it was moved to "Pending" in December. Pretty much everything has been written out by myself and other members. There's very little to still talk about related to this topic. It also doesn't require any development considering it's just a reorganization of sections. It's extremely frustrating to see simple things like this take forever. I'd also say that this is an extremely important part of MC-Market. It just seems like nobody gives a single shit anymore about things on here.

You just want them gone for your own sake which I find pretty bad. I mean, fair play to some of the people that come and go within a week but still.

Maybe they should make it so that you have to be registered for a few weeks before you can post there.

The point of this isn't to stop summer hosts from advertising. It's to separate verified hosts - hosts that are registered, or have good rep - from hosts that are new.

This isn't just about being a "summer host". It's about being a registered business and taking your company serious.

MC-Market has become such a joke. This thread is so old now and nothing is being done about it just like with most other threads. It's one of the many somewhat serious issues on the forum that isn't being dealt with.

The hosting section is one of the more popular sections of the forum, how is this ok.... Lol
