| CONTEXT
We've recently made our debut with an RPG Factions server. Unfortunately, several members of our team of developers have had to leave us due to college starting back up; and so we're actively opening recruitment for developers once again.

Our factions gamemode takes place on Earth, set in the wake of an intergalactic war that's left our planet abandoned, overgrown.

Players will be allowed choose their class from several different species, each with their skill-tree of perks that help with aspects of Factions gameplay - damage, support, base fortification, tankiness etc.

Besides aspects of base-building and PvP, players can also take part in regularly timed events, they'll fight off swarms of monsters, treacherous bosses, and each other to protect Camp SPAWN and hold control over the most resource-rich areas on the planet.

| VISION
As you can tell from the above, we're taking a big leap. There's nothing wrong with creating / enjoying the existing, "meta" Factions gameplay -- but that's not what we're trying to create.

While Factions will still exist in all its familiar forms: envoys, KOTHs, etc, we're trying to filter out the usual base-grinding process with quality-of-life implementations such as /printer, gen-buckets, utility tools (tray pick, sell wands) etc.

Namely, we believe that forcing repetitive and grindy gameplay is an issue on many servers today. As such, we're pushing several alternative gameplay mechanics -- those who enjoy grinding can still do so and enjoy the rewards from it, but sitting in one spot and clicking (or not clicking) should hopefully never be the default activity for too long on Factions Earth.

| DETAILS
As a developer, you'll be creating either new features, fixing issues with or adding onto existing source code. This means you should be able to create clean code, as well as read others' code and edit / add on new features accordingly.

Pay for developers will be hourly, and your time spent developing will be monitored with a screen-capture software.

While we expect all of our developers to be efficient and responsive, pay will be differentiated based on skill-level. It will never be below minimum wage, as long you meet our most basic standards; and if you're good at what you do, it can go much higher.

In exchange, we expect you to regularly communicate, push your code to our repositories, and show us progress during set intervals.

Thanks for the read! If this sounds like something you're interested in, please make a ticket in our discord: https://discord.gg/spacedelta. Please come prepared with a portfolio, resume and/or list of previous resources. This will ensure you receive a fair starting payment and allow us to assign you projects more efficiently.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I do not recommend working for them. Super toxic and their reasoning it I had to "fix" it to many times. The original plugin was working then they asked me to add new features and they required 2 people so I couldn't test by self because they wanted it fast. Literally re-uploaded it 3 times not even that much. Then they go to complain saying the plugin doesn't work even though it works exactly how they wanted it to and they won't even say what doesn't work. Just because they have money doesn't mean they are a good server. Don't recommend working for them. They didn't even pay me!
I'm the Head Manager of this network, and I'd like to shed some light on the situation. This developer was unable to meet the most basic requirements of our trial plugin, which was a very simple "secondary currency" mobcoins plugin intended to test developers. Other developers who were given this trial completed it easily and exactly to our needs. The documentation provided for the plugin was [here].

The plugin provided had countless issues, such as the plugin not taking into account players' original balances when doing /currency pay (the following ss was paid from an alt with no permissions, and no existing stardust)

as well as just weird random errors with basic commands (this is an admin trying to look at /currency bal)

Basic features that were clearly stated in the initial linked documentation, such as permission nodes, message configuration, the ability to change the currency name, command, and ability to have multiple shops and currencies (the latter of which he said was "completely impossible", then demanded more money to add).

After about six iterations of us going back and forth, downloading his jars of bug patches, we got impatient and essentially told him that he wasn't a good fit, at which point he called us immature and tried to squabble with anyone who had an ounce of criticism for his work.

Literally re-uploaded it 3 times not even that much.
Most of his points on this "thread-thrash" are direct lies; for instance, here are five iterations (and these are just the ones I downloaded, there were more that other admins tested) in the recycle bin, where they belong.

Also, after doing a bit of research on TheKey as a developer, it appears that he's under suspicion of ban evasion

and the banned account's pfp seems to match his Discord one perfectly, in the screenshots he himself posted as evidence and which I've quoted above.

So maybe someone should look into that?

I can vouch for TK and the team at SpaceDelta. Anyone looking for serious long-term development work, this is the place to go.
