To be honest, that is not true what you are saying here. There are alot of servers out there that are becoming successful when using 3rd party plugins. I think you have almost no experience hosting a server.

Fair point, but if he doesn't know how to configure them (which is what I'm assuming the point of developers are for) and he can't get any developers to do it for him, then there won't even be a server.

Also, I'm pretty sure there aren't any popular hcf servers that don't have some custom plugins.

OP if you want to start a server just start one and have the motivation for it, everything will come into place eventually. You can start out with 3rd party plugins and later on develop your own plugins (This is a TIP). Also OP if you want to ask the Administrators here to remove iTouchedTrump's/SuperCoolMomo's and mine reactions on this topic, because this is irrelevant and can maybe put your topic on a lower rate.
