Sorry, but to say you don't want staff members who are just doing it for the money is quite ignorant. Some of us are here because we are passionate on what we do but we also want our fair share of the deal. There are even people who are here to pay their bills.
Maybe use the word voluntary instead :tup:

Saying blatantly that we do want people who do it for the money is a very bold statement. I think it is better to say that we are searching for a very small minority of people who like to put work into projects they feel very passionate about. Why passionate about our project and not others? Really depends, the people I work with like connecting with me and coming up with creative ideas. There is no real reason why to choose our server more than others (apart for stability and organization and uniqueness)
For example, staff members who would like to join a volunteer position usually do it for experience (mostly the learning experience). I do know a few people who work a lot on servers even if they are very skilled and have nothing to learn. Again passion or deep interest. This is why making a server that stands out and is unique is very important (Hense why we are centered around floating islands)

Damn imagine wanting builders, writers, and developers, all for free. If you can't afford to pay these basic roles than I highly doubt you'll be able to get players without the budget for advertisements. Honestly, it's kind of insulting to people who work their asses off to make money that you want them to work for you but without any compensation other than "stability, organization, and uniqueness". Definitely haven't heard that before! How are you going to find people who are passionate on working on your server? You think someone is just going to look at this post and suddenly decide they want to spend hours apon hours working for nothing? No, not going to happen. Work to get money, make a budget, make a plan, and then see if you are ready. Be prepared to fail the first few times you make a server, and never make a server with the singular goal of making money.

It would be a good idea to state that it's voluntary work, not many people are interested in working for free. Why would people work for you for free while you make money from donations? They could easily find a project that they're passionate about and also get paid fairly.
Has any of you read the document?
Also, should I state I make no personal profit. Everything goes back to repaying server fees. I have paid my builders in the past but I found that volunteers work better.
This is a hobby. If you are mad about this go to this forum and see how common it is to see servers like mine (servers that ask for volunteers)

Mate we're just here to give you suggestion and feedback on your thread. You just joined today and we've been around for months here, trust me when I say we know more about this site. Just letting you know that it's hard to get volunteers in MC-M for a passion project. I know it's not impossible since I got a voluntary developer myself, but the server has been running for a while with a stable player base. No, we're not trying to diss you or make fun of your thread or server. No, we're not mad about your decision or the way you deliver your messages. But understand that not everyone is like your lead builder or have the free time to spend on someone else's project. Just say you need passionate volunteers who can help grow the server and move on from this unnecessary drama.

I mean people have their own views, and I can respect both opinions as none are wrong.
I do think you should consider making a new thread on your own account with a better explanation that you need passionate volunteers? With these replies, people will be more hesitant to check out (sorry about that)
I do hope the best for your server though. It sounds unique and I'm sure it'll gain attraction very quickly :tup:
