Basically the title.

I can still scroll, but the page becomes practically unresponsive and there are whole chinks of page which fail to render. I essentially have to reload the page or close and reopen it. After a little bit, I can't scroll either.

I'm using the stickied chatbot at the bottom of my screen (option).

I'm on Chrome for Android.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Yeah that's because Android is poorly made trash facepalm
Why bother making unsubstantiated shots at an operating system which you haven't seen the source code for to make that judgment?

Because it is the internet and I can. I don't care about the source code (as 99.99% of people don't). I have experience. My mother has an Android and it is slow, delayed, unresponsive, and is riddled with an overly complicated UI. It's an opinion and I can make it.
The first couple of reasons are because of stupid specs, for which the manufacturer of the device is responsible. And overly complicated, only if you're part of the older generation and aren't good with technology, or you have a stupidly low IQ. It's just as easy as IOS, and a lot of processes are even more streamlined than it. If you don't mind though, if you don't have anything to contribute to the bug thread, I'd actually like a solution from someone who actually knows anything about it.

I haven't encountered this issue in particular, but on Safari on an iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 12, so not because of beta 2 for 13), I notice my phone getting really hot when being active on chat box and popping into conversations/DMs. It also wrecks havoc on my battery, on a level which has only ever been reached by intense mobile games.

Not sure, but I think there's some sort of optimization issue with live-updating boxes on mobile. Not a big issue for me, but I thought I'd mention it just the same.

This issue is utterly unacceptable at this point.

My phone won't stop killing itself when this happens, and it keeps doing it. I spent the last 5 minutes not being able TO EVEN FORCE REBOOT the phone because chrome was destroying my phone because of this bug. What on earth is happening here?

I'm personally on an S9 using Chrome with the shoutbox at the top of each page, and haven't encountered this.

This doesn't seem to be very widespread, so it's most likely isolated to a Chrome/OS version.

What Chrome/OS version are you running? What make/model? etc.

I actually used an old phone of mine which is on Android Marshmallow along side with a semi old version of chrome, things didn't went the way you specified but i did face some lags which were expected. I was also told that chrome will have unstable features later or soon, you tried another browser?

I can't really think of a way that we can resolve the performance issues with our chat addon since that isn't developed by us and it seems inconsistent for who it occurs for. Perhaps having chat stuck to the bottom of your page is significantly more intensive than simply keeping it in its default position, but I haven't tested that.

We'll be updating to XF2 soon and when we do we will be migrating to the Chat addon for XF2 which has been completely rewritten from the ground up and will hopefully be better for performance.

I'll move this to the bug report archives, thank you
