Alright so as we all know, before we stepped into the Market we were forced to enable Two Step Verification. I know many will disagree, but I find it to be a pain in the ass. I mean come on, do I really have to scavenge in my spam folder every 30 days for a verification code? I understand that the staff are trying to keep us safe but I feel it's unnecessary. I mean be honest, who's actually putting in a new code everytime they login. I sure as hell am not. I'm kinda frustrated that people like myself have to pay at the expense of foolish others. Here's how I see it. If I get my account compromised, that's MY fault. You hear it all the time, never use the same passwords. Or never use easy or short passwords. Yeah yeah, we hear it all the time but how many of you actually changed your password? I mean, better yet, how many of you guys changed you passwords knowing that many accounts were getting compromised? The fact that we need a 2 step verification is silly and I'm not trying to sound like a bitch, but I'd much rather not try looking for a code 12 times a year. Oh and thats another thing. Did any of you guys have trouble with the app authenticating one? I got google authenticator and Authy but both were giving me errors saying it wasn't the right code. I was like whaaaat. Anyway I just feel like you should have the option to turn it on or not. Like if I were to get compromised well oh well so sad that's my fault. I knew there was an issue going around and I didn't take the necessary precautions to protect myself. As simple as that. And no this is not meant to bash anyone of the higher ranks but rather to inform them of my thoughts. Do I think it's a good safety feature? Yes. Do I think it should be implemented. Eh questionable. Let me know what you think.

Comments I know I'm gonna get:
• "It's really not that hard."
+ My answer ~ that's not the point.
• "It's to protect us."
+ My answer ~ that's not the point.
• "Zooply you're a puss."
+ My answer ~ I know lol.

Here come the haters and "Funny" reactions. Yeah yeah let it loose what evs.

I agree. I actually just created a suggestion to give us the option to enable it.

I have to enter the code every time my device restarts or Safari is closed. There needs to be an option to disable it.

This is something very needed.

And honestly set it to "Stay logged in" not that big of a deal.

I use this mainly on my phone. So I have the app where it gives me the code like every 30 seconds. So you're mainly just lazy to log into your email to log in. :p Ajdin is working very hard for our protection and not let our accounts get banned / compromised by children who like to hack accounts. What does it take like 2 minutes to get the code in your email. Like come on now.
First of all, the stay logged in feature doesn't work for me but that's besides the point. It should just be an optional security measure that is always available if one wants it. It should just be our fault for our accounts getting compromised because we didn't want to enable it. Besides, account compromisation is a rare occurrence is it not? If I'm incorrect then people should stop using stupid passwords.

I see it more as a helping hand then a pain in the ass. Would you really wanna risk a ban over 2 minutes of your time? Think about it. And wrong. If you check the bans list. A lot of members have had accounts compromised for the past 2 months now. And it's starting to come around more now. And they use the passwords from a website. Still not 100% on knowing how they hacked it. But you probably get my point there.
That's just it. Let players decide for themselves if it's a risk they're willing to take. Most occurrences are as a result of people using simple and common passwords, suggesting that a required more complex password during registration of the forums would be just as effective at decreasing the occurrence of the issue as this annoying two step verification is.

Easy said for you. I'm the person that has to recover all accounts that get compromised. Sometimes that's very difficult if not impossible to do without sufficient proof.

Then don't bother recovering them. If people choose not to use two step then it's their fault. Why not make registration force users to make a stronger password?
