Hello,

Whenever I try to code html and css I always get into the hang of it then I just stop cause it gets hard or smthn. Have you guys ever ran into problems like this? If you have how did you overcome it?

I've had this sort of thing with Java. I would stop for a long time and then start again for a bit. Only recently have I managed to get into it.

I had lots of people that recommended me different ways of learning it and, in the end, none of them really worked. All it was that worked for me was trying again a whole year later. So... I'm one of those people that gives up easily, I think.

The only thing that I would recommend is ease the coding that you are doing into something that would actually be useful for you. This will then give you more motivation to carry on doing it.

I've been coding on a professional level for a while now, but I've always managed to drift when I'm working, especially on my companies. I think I'm just lacking short-term motivation (guess it's just my personality), where I would always continue working, knowing that the outcome would always benefit someone, but I would get a burnout effect after a while and don't want to touch it ever again. I'm still having this issue years later, but I'm hoping that when my companies go public, I'll be scheduled to the brim and I wouldn't have time to drift (lol). Don't know how that's going to work, but I'll try. I'll also be incorporating breaks in between clients and projects to get a drink of water to stay hydrated and to stretch or work out for a few minutes, then go back to work with a fresh mind. I think that's going to work, but idk. Every time I tried something, it always fails...

I'm pretty sure this is something a majority of programmers stumble upon. I have recently gotten back to java after spending about 5 months last year attempting to learn spigot api more than java (terrible mistake). I get demotivated from time to time but I'm attempting to at least keep trying since I know it will benefit me at some point in time.

My biggest challenge ever was working on a language I couldn't even identify to try to configure a public switched telephone network. All it did was identify where the call was going and to keep it in the local exchange or dump it onto one of our trunk lines.

I was told if I knew this I would be more employable in the future. A program could emulate the output of the console on my home computer, and I just messed around with it non-stop. So many settings, and I had to save the files with no file type, just raw data.

I was committed to not give up, but I did. Still have no clue what that was or what I was doing. Talked to someone in the industry, they had no clue either. Waste of time.
