Hello everyone,

I was recently promoted to Community Manager for Saber Network. Right now, I am in the planning phase for various events / marketing strategies to not only bring players in but retain the ones who come. I have a few ideas already but I would love to get some feedback from other people.

This is the million-dollar question not only every Minecraft server has to answer but every company that ever existed. It's no easy task but it's an important one.

Updates, Changes, and Fixes! The majority of communities are made up of not loyal players/customers which means they are going to get bored very quickly with your content. Change it up and add more in. Make your event worthwhile. Perhaps the winners of events collect shares (pieces of a puzzle) and at 5 shards they can craft them into a special event-exclusive item. Perhaps after completing an event you get a sneak peek at the next big update (which creates hype which is essential), The possibility is endless, you cannot just do another parkour even for $10,000 in-game money. That's lame and won't keep players on or get players on. It just kills time for 30 minutes for the current players.

My favorite faction server years ago did fun day Sunday. They did a HUGE drop party every Sunday and the entire server got the stuff. Everyone got on, got stuff, and stayed on because the things they got helped upgrade our items, armor, our base, etc. it wasn't just diamonds or money it was shards and crates, unique items to explore and uncover their mysteries.

Hope this helps!
