I am talking with a few people about the difference between "prank" and "griefing"

So far, the distinction is going to be made through logic.

Griefing-
Programming a turtle army to excavate someone's house.

Prank -
Programming a turtle army to build a giant glass dome over someone's house.

If the end result of a prank is nothing other than some cleaning up, then it should be fine. The general rule should be that, if it involves breaking stuff they've made. It's griefing not a prank. Another one could be, if it takes more than 15 minutes to undo the prank, it's griefing.
