I just read this comment by Kram and had a thought. I am unsure if it's something that is possible, but I am making this suggestion just in case it is.
If it's possible, there should be something implemented to where if there's a lot of reports on one thread or one comment, it would be compiled into 1 report showing everyone who reported and the report reason. This way, when it is resolved, such as it being accepted or rejected, the staff can mark it as necessary and it would send the notification to everyone who made the report. (If the staff member chooses to notify the user or users)
Due to people likely using the report system to report people who aren't breaking rules, the staff member should state why the report was accepted or rejected, Such as;
Examples:
1. Person1 makes a comment that breaks the rules, several people report it and instead of it being several different reports, it'll be compiled into 1 report
2. Person1 makes a thread that breaks the rule, several people report the thread and instead of it being several different reports, it'll be compiled into 1 report
If my examples are confusing, let me know and I'll try my best to explain it better.
That really isn't that effective.
It makes the staff's job harder, in my opinion, to see a flood of reports come in when it could've been compiled into one report.
