Hey guys, I wanted to get some opinions on a build I’m planning. It’s running a R7 2700x with an RTX 2070. Would this be a solid build for everyday gaming and such. I’m planning on playing games such as GTA V, R6S, Sea of Theives, rocket league, and Arma 3. For the time being I’ll be playing at 1080p 144hz and eventually switching to 1440p. Just want some opinions and what you guys think about the parts list. Thank you!

Hell yeah. A better CPU will probably reduce bottle neck. And usually you'd probably need more storage if you're a gamer. And you can play at 2k high settings with the new RTX feature. Idk about it but it should be nice.
Any suggestions on the cpu? And the storage I feel will be fine, currently running a 1tb and an an ssd right now and I’ve never had an issue.

Oh I only saw the 250 gig. Possibly, if you're trying to keep the same build price, go Intel Core i7-9700K. Otherwise Intel Core i9-9900K.

IF YOU ARE AN AMD FAN. (NOT RECOMMENDED FOR GAMING)
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X

Can't afford that?
Keep the one you have. Minor bottlenecks won't be a problem. : )
You caught that very quickly, yes I’m not an intel fan. Weirdly enough about how much I’ve heard about how great they are, I have had nothing but issues with them. Switched to AMD and haven’t had a problem. This is just personal preference mainly so I’ll probably stick to the 2700x and with ryzen 9 coming I can always upgrade it in the future. I appreciate the suggestions though!

Ryzen 7 2700X is ok
If you want to play games at 1080p 144Hz you don't have to buy CPUs with 16 or 32 cores[DOUBLEPOST=1546022383][/DOUBLEPOST]

Don't buy X470 Ultra Gaming, it's a rebranded Aorus B450. For Ryzen 2700x, especially if you will do overclock, isn't a very good choice
Instead of ultra gaming, buy an Asrock X370 Taichi. If the BIOS isn't updated, you can update it using a pen drive (without CPU). If you don't want to update the bios, buy an ASUS ROG X470-F, that is very good if you will do overclock.
The case is ok, but the airflow isn't very good. I suggest buying a Fractal Design Meshify C
The PSU is also OK, but you can buy a 550W PSU even if you are going to upgrade or doing overclock
The cooler is OK, but air coolers (such as Raijintek Tisis/Nemesis or Noctua NH-D15) can give you better performances and more overclock
