Ive been wanting to build a gaming computer for a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, long time. After 1 year I've gotten $550 and my budget for the PC is $450. I put my pc part list up there, and i was wondering what would be good, and whats bad. I'm not changing the processor out because there's no other processor out there that I can afford, and thats the new kabylake. Also, im kind of scared of the motherboard, I dont know why i just have a bad feeling with any motherboard.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Instead of buying a decent graphics card, I'd rather buy a good processor. Just my opinion though

That processor could run it flawlessly tbh, unless he plays with millions of mods.

Im just a casual gamer, and all im looking to play cod and gta. From looking at videos, with the same GPU and similar processor and other components, this runs fine.

Dont underestimate the processor, though, its actually as good as a lot of i5's on the market, but of course its not an i7.[DOUBLEPOST=1490475188][/DOUBLEPOST]
"After 3 years I've gotten $550"

Uhm, this is ridiculous.
Whoops, overreacted there, it was actually 1 year lolz

A cheap Asrock motherboard is never a good idea. If you have some additional cash (20-30 USD is fine) invest it in a proper motherboard. If you want some options, I'd be happy to privately message you some. Wouldn't expect much quality and fun building in that case - and that PSU might not last for a long period of time. Besides that you should be fine for CoD, GTA V might not be optimal on the highest of settings, but it's not bad either.

Consider holding off on your purchase until you have more money. Wouldn't expect much from a summer sale this year (although they'll certainly be there). The wonderful part of owning a desktop is the opportunity to upgrade. It's a pain to upgrade certain components like the case, mobo, and PSU.

But without all these tiny niffy things - Yes, this is a gaming desktop, despite what people tell you, and this system is capable (not perfectly) to run GTA V and CoD. In my perfect world I'd invest a bit more money into it so you don't have to be concerned in the long run. But oh well.

If there's one thing I learned after building my first PC, it's either go big or go home. That doesn't mean you need to spend $2000 on a PC, it just means you shouldn't cut corners.
I sacrificed a little performance here and there to save money, and those sacrifices adds up.
Don't get me wrong, my PC is pretty powerful, but it would have been easier if I spent more from the beggining, rather than having to upgrade it 9 months later.
I'm also still a little triggered for spending $600 on a 980 Ti when the 1060 came out less than 6 months later at half the price and better performance.

What if i got an AMD FX-8300, ive seen good performance, and itll most likely outperforme the pentium. As it is an octa-core, one core doesnt have much power, but it is good for video editing which I will most likely do a lot of it on.

I have an external capture card, and it works like a charm, so I dont really need capture software. I am though into editing and I need a somewhat good processor and a good graphics card because Ill be using it mostly for gaming
