so obviously plugins such as DeluxeMenus and others I have created aren’t the easiest to configure for your average joe right... I’m just wondering how much my configuration system has benefited you if you have created epic stuff the average joe doesn’t know or comprehend how to... seems like looking at configurations in the resources section it is filled with Configs for my plugins.... Thanks for the effort you have put into the menus and other stuff. I’m glad you are making a buck or 2 selling the awesome creations but I’m curious as to how much this has benefitted you?

As someone who does make a profit from what started as a configuration resource and has grown well beyond that, it's a very nice source of passive income but does have its own headaches at times (some people can't upload a plugin facepalm). Spigot has set the standard for resources and resource support so I assume most configuration sellers make their best effort to provide the same support you would to a buyer.
Specifically DeluxeMenus, I don't even understand that maze of a configuration and would pay someone to make a configuration for me if I really needed the placeholders. Chestcommands has served as an easy to use alternative for me and I'm not sure where development sits now but a 1.13 fork did add support for placeholders. I haven't checked if support has been added to the official plugin as development of that started back up just as I was leaving the server management space. Getting back to deluxe menus, the support for a specific plugin/configuration is definitely helpful for a new server owner (kind of like dealing with warranty from different sellers, not really, but kind of). You have a personal assistant that helps resolve any issues brought up with that specific plugin. And by looking at examples of configurations, new servers can slowly peice together their own configurations or make changes as they see fit rather than fully leaning on their personal 'assistant'. That knowledge of spacing and basic yaml is transferable to any other plugin then.

Edit: Reading this back, my ideas are scattered everywhere, I just wanted to share some talking points. Should be slightly cleaner now.

I wouldn't agree with you, everyone can make epic stuff but to do that you have to understand how the plugin works and you know not everyone do so that's why they think its hard to.
I feel its pretty much easy and simple to make a menu after understanding each option in the plugin and what it does, that's all you need. There's also people that don't make their own menus because it takes a lot of time to make, which is i think something normal because you're making a menu that you have to set every thing in it. And that's what make the possibility of using the plugin for like everything in your server.
That's just my opinion.

All my resource in MC-Market (so far) are DeluxeMenus setups (with some PlaceholderAPI things for the menu) and to be honest, i didn't expect to make good profit from them.
Its just annoying when it comes to supporting all versions since its not a plugin, you'll have to make a whole new version of the setup to support some MC versions.

That's about DeluxeMenus, i don't think that people find it hard to configure your other plugins. They pay someone to configure the things that takes time only.

Thank you so much for creating such an awesome plugins that literally everyone use!
