So I am very active on SevenSins and they have a feature on the conversations under the names that is

" Last read "

It would be cool if we had it here, so we know if the person IS ignoring you or NOT ignoring you. I think i may of got scammed today, because this guy is not responding to me, so it would be helpful to see if he read my messages, or if not.

Picture on sevensins of this

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

If you enter the conversation, and the user has not increased their privacy settings from the default, you will see the last time they read the convo in the sidebar.

It should be a default thing

If you're trying to say that users should not be able to modify their privacy settings so that you can't see when they last read your messages, I'm afraid I disagree.
When I'm not responding to someone, it's because I don't want to continue the conversation.
Last thing I need is them spamming me, "I know you read it, why aren't you responding? Hello? You're reading this. Continue talking to me please."
I'd rather not put myself through that again.
Knowing others are in the same situation as I am leads me to believe that the option to disable this information from public view should be allowed to our users, as it currently is.

If you want to ignore the person, you dont have to even open it. But i might be wrong, about what your saying, did not fully understand what you meant.

I don't want to ignore anyone. I want to read their messages without being forced/pressured to continue the conversation by replying once I have read it.
And if you want to get rid of the alert that says you have unread conversations, you need to mark it as read, one way or another.

That's why I say users should be able to disable their last read time from being shown. As it currently is.
I apologize if I'm still not being clear enough for you to understand.

This is already a thing. However Supreme users have the ability to hide their 'read date' in their privacy settings.
