Not sure the status of the fixing conversation search feature..but here's a suggestion that would complement it nicely I think.

When you pull up a user's nameplate from shoutbox or a comment on a thread you could view all conversations you have with that user. Say I know I have information in a conversation with so-and-so and I know who it is but can't find the convo, I can just pull up their user info and find whichever conversation I need.

Conversation search was fixed over a week ago. Your suggestion would primarily be modifying some HTML, but I imagine it would be best to place such a button/link on the user card.

Edit: or by nameplate did you mean card?

As Jayson has said, conversation search has now been fixed, making this no longer relevant. Apologies for the delay with fixing it.
