So I'm pretty preoccupied at the moment & I'd like to start moving forward with converting.to - one task I have been heavily patronizing is creating a formal document that developers and designers can follow to ensure that the website meets the expected standard.
You'd be given a list of features & a general idea of the website. You'd then be expected to do research and expand on the idea within the document.

Me: We'll be displaying two ads on the homepage using AdSense
You: An AD system needs to be implemented with placement in these areas (image) as they're prone to a higher click-through rate for advertisers and yet do not ruin the end user's experience. Placing a total of 2 ads on the home page with an average CPM of X would be equal to ~(X^2) per page visit.
