I'm looking for opinions on copy cat plugins

Are they actually liked by people / worth making?

I'm getting really bored, and wanted to make copy cats of maybe MineHQ PotPvP or Badlion UHC, and release them for free.

If it's frown upon then I'll just make original stuff, but otherwise HMU with some info or ideas.

Honestly, every plugin on here is a copycat. Original stuff won't be bought because people don't look for original stuff, and if they are then they contact a developer to make one for them because no one wants their idea to be public.

That's the original impression I had gotten, hence why they're 4000 variations of PotPVP servers, even though most of them use the same plugin.

True copy cat (from what I understand) is an almost identical system to the server which it's being taken from.

Might be worth to by default make it copy cat, but add an element of editing which can be done from a user.

Just accept commissions, don't make public plugins, in my opinion, you make more money off of commissions and it's more fun.

Made enough money for now, and bored as hell ha ha ha

I guess it would be worth taking commissions, but people usually ask for the same stuff over and over.
