What are the features most core plug-ins have? Or what would you expect them to have?

Definitely commands like /help, /spawn, /warp, /rtp, all the common commands sent by Players the first few minutes after joining.

I've got one that's pretty far in development. Currently I'm releasing parts of it as free plug-ins as a way to advertise my future premium plug-in.

I would say look at other Core plug-ins and see what they do well. You'll want to add those features, but you'll need to expand on that. Try to figure out similar features that add on to the core idea.
