Hi,
Got a new laptop for my birthday. I picked it, I originally picked a different one but it was out of stock and I was rushing through online because I felt like I was under pressure. Anyway, I found one that looked nice, had 2TB HDD, 8GB RAM but I forgot to look at the CPU

Unfortunately it turned out that I got an Intel Pentium processor, dual core I think it is (not an expert on CPU's). I thought I would have got something half decent, like i3 or i5, even my mum's laptop has i5 or i3, can't remember. My brother just got his new laptop a few weeks ago on his bday and he got a quad core so i'm a bit dissapointed as i'm wanting to start doing youtube videos. Except, I can't do a nice high resolution as I don't have enough processing power. Fullscreen, it just looks blurry and I was just wondering - what CPU is good for recording which isn't ridiculously expensive because i have almost no money now but if I could save to replace the one in my laptop, what should I buy ? It would obviously have to fit the intel pentium socket I have now.

Maybe I should just rob my bro's laptop when he is asleep and record on that :3

Good luck replacing the CPU, normally they are integrated with the mobo.

Thanks for letting me know anyway.[DOUBLEPOST=1469991583][/DOUBLEPOST]

So i'd have to replace the mobo if I wanted a new CPU ?
I might as well just wait until I have enough to build a custom PC.

When buying a laptop you end up paying twice as much for something half as good... and certainly wouldn't last as long as a desktop.
