Which CPU would perform better for a single production Minecraft server?

Intel Core i7-7700K vs Xeon E3-1231 v3?

I always feel like Xeon is meant for more industrial rigs/servers. I think if you're doing a personal computer, go with the i7[DOUBLEPOST=1563828491][/DOUBLEPOST]plus, the i7 is better anyways

I am going to be renting a dedicated server for a public MC server, and really wanted to know which performs better with a larger playerbase, if that helps.

Yea, I got a server with an i7 7700k OC, and even if you google the two, you can see the i7 is obviously better. Hope this helps

For Minecraft Hosting, I agree with Zirak and would go for the i7-7700k.
