I know that another forum does this, and I think it would be really cool to implement it on here as well. So basically, people can set a timer for the system to automatically up their post(s) by an increment of 24 hours, but cannot be run simultaneously. However, because this is a very large forum, there should probably be a limit of, say 5 to 10, max threads you can auto up per account.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Agreed. Although I think this feature would be better implemented on Business Accounts only, with a Weekly Limit instead of Account Limit.

How would the weekly limit work? And yes, the business account part I do agree with you there.

No, I don't live in Jacksonville. lmao. I got my name from a server I used to play on a couple years ago.

You would be able to auto up 3 Posts a week, Say Important Service Updates that you know will be released in 10 hours, that will be a good usage of such. Although, purposely to prevent spam Have a limit on the amount.

Why not just manually up your thread instead of doing that then? And 3 posts a week is a bit less... I'd say the minimum should be at least 1 auto up per 36 hours.

You aren't always available. If a Profession Company is ran correctly by the right people, you will have a set date and time on a schedule for everything that happens. If you aren't available during the time something is supposed to go out, this feature will be perfect.

But that's pretty much only for a couple people's advantage. Not everyone would like to post an update every single time they up their thread.

What was the reason you would want this feature to be able to automatically up their post then?

So people don't have to be on the forum to constantly up their business thread AND not having to put a reason why they upped it using the auto system.

I don't think this should be a thing, it's just going to encourage users to be lazier and increase the amount of spam we have on the forum.

From a similar suggestion. Couldn't have said it better myself. If you're active and have an active service, just click the up thread button.

We've already had a half-dozen autobump suggestions.
What this will result in is simply a bunch of mostly dead threads being constantly bumped, and the users becoming less active because they dont need to watch the thread, just turn on email notifications and wait.
Not to mention it will actually result in LESS time on the front page. Let's say there's 20 spots on front page, and 100 threads. assuming a full 24h cooldown and even distribution, that would mean your thread would be on the front page for a little under 4 hours each time.
However, if it's manual, someone might forget to bump it, or they might be unable to bump because they're busy. because its 24h + a few minutes, the time they up will slowly shift. If they forget, you would have another 25 mins or so on front page, until the next thread bumps you out.
With auto-bumps, this all becomes automated like a machine. We might as well give up being a forum and just become a digital shop like so many other sites if we do that.

How about this, users will have to visit the forum for at least 1 hour (or something like that) per week to maintain the settings they created in auto bumping.

1 hour per week is nothing, and higher limits would just result in people leaving a tab open. let's face it, auto-bumping just isn't gonna happen.
What would be WAY better would be a place where you can list your own 'active' threads, and manually bump each of them. It would save the bother of having to look them up all the time, while still requiring forum interaction.

If they actively visit the section, they might as well just use the "Up Thread" button.
