Hi creators,

We have a bunch of updates to share with you today!

Creator bot improvements

  1. Multiple selected servers: You can now have multiple selected servers from which you can choose roles and channels. The Discord bot creator dashboard UI has been slightly updated to support this, now listing all servers you own and having an 'activate'/'deactivate' toggle next to each one. All members can have up to two active servers at any one time, and that limit is increased to five for Ultimate members.
  2. Invite other members to servers: Other members can be invited to use your servers' roles and channels for their own resources. This can be done by adding the user to the server's 'Invited users' option within the server's settings page. Once invited, the member will see your server within their own server list and can activate the server for themselves. They will not be able to alter the server's settings or invite other members. This is a great collaboration tool for creators who share support servers or for those who collaborate as part of a team.
  3. A more powerful 'actions' feature: Accessed via the 'Actions' button near the top of the dashboard page, actions allow you to send messages to a channel whenever a specific event (such as a purchase, review, update, or publish) occurs. Similar to webhooks, these events can be filtered by resource, store, and category. You can also customise them by providing your own Discord embed objects which we replace placeholders for. These actions can be used as an advanced way of configuring our bot, which provide you more customisability over the core logs/updates/reviews channel options we provide on the main dashboard page.

DMCA policy improvements

We've always been concerned about the ways that our DMCA process could be abused to get the accounts of our legitimate creators like you suspended. At the same time, we also understand that not all legitimate creators are willing to submit a counter-claim due to privacy concerns or other valid reasons. That is why we have never automatically issued warnings and suspensions upon receiving a claim. However, this lenience has unfortunately also benefitted more than just genuine creators like yourself.

Today we're rolling out a new approach to better balance both concerns by automatically issuing warnings whenever a claim is received, but not issuing a suspension. This way repeat infringers will be automatically banned while ensuring that creators like you aren't immediately suspended and financially harmed by having received a fraudulent claim. We'll also be considering appeals for these warnings for circumstances where you are innocent of wrongdoing but are unwilling to submit a counter-claim.

As always, we'll be closely monitoring the impact of these changes and considering how we can further improve our systems and policies to keep you protected and punish those looking to infringe on your rights.

Early access to new discovery page layouts

Over the past couple of weeks we've been testing a completely refreshed layout for our most important discovery pages. Today we've released this brand new design as early access only for our Established creators. This update is not yet visible to buyers. The redesign has impacted 3 types of pages:
  • The platform pages, such as Minecraft, Roblox, and Tebex resources
  • The category pages, such as Minecraft Plugins, Roblox Maps, and Tebex Templates
  • The result pages, allowing for filtering and sorting through all resources within a category
The new pages make filtering and sorting much more important parts of navigation and our goal with this redesign has been to make it easier for buyers to find resources.

This early access period, where only established creators will have access to the new layouts, is expected to last for around a week while we gather feedback from you before we begin gradually rolling it out to everyone. We've added a feedback popup to the new pages. If you could spend some time looking through the updates and type your thoughts into the box that would be really appreciated!

Learn how our discovery algorithm works

It's been a little over a year since we replaced bumping with our relevance algorithm, and since then we've been running constant experiments to make the algorithm even better. When we introduced the algorithm we were very secretive about what factors are considered when calculating rankings to prevent creators from being able to manipulate the system. We now feel more confident to be revealing far more about how we calculate relevance which should help you in optimising discoverability of your resources.

We've added a new article to our Creator Knowledge Base explaining our global score factors and how we personalise results for each user:

Our team is growing to better support you

Due to the amazing growth of our platform over the past year we've had a significant increase in reports, tickets, and especially new resource submissions. To keep up with this growth and continue to improve the support we offer, we've expanded our team.

Please give a warm welcome to our two new support team members, vaile and Rain, who will be working with us to reduce wait times and improve our support. We're also excited to have Daniel joining us as the first member of our new marketing team. Daniel will be working with Mick to maintain our strong growth trajectory moving forward.

Harry
