Crypto Minecraft Server Idea

What is it about ?

The basic idea would be for people to play a skyblock server earning CRYPTO by farming on their islands or going to /warp mines where they can mine the public mine to find small amounts of CRYPTO or the PVP mine where they can find larger amounts.

We would also grant the Top 3 voters of each month X amount of CRYPTO which would bring in views to the website if we want to go for AD REVENUE on site.

The server would need to be reset after X amount of months so that farms don't get too big costing us a lot in CRYPTO and we would need to find a nice balance of the ECO.

I would like to go for CRONOS (CRO) cause they already have in place a tier system for their own cards Midnight blue, Ruby, Jade/Indigo, Frosty Gold/Icy White, Obsidian which we could use for the ranking system.

How can we support payments

First of all we would need to deposit X amount of CRO into their Earn program earning back 6% AYP or DEFI for 12% which could sustain some payments depending on how much we set aside for this.

Another form of income would be referral programs so making people sign upto our wallet of choice which could earn us $$ long term,

We could also get partnerships with hosting companies to provide free/cheap servers in exchange for advertising on the site or we could use google ads ect for that little bit more.

Have you seen all the phone games offering crypto rewards even tho they are LOW rewards they have millions of downloads Im not sure if this is different because its Minecraft. Also the current rewards were just a quick idea it would need to be looked at properly

Sorry I misunderstood the full server access. I know you mean bypassing the max player count now.

Mobiles can be taken everywhere and almost every person in the world has one, anyone could download an app and idle.

Just look at StepN, even if it isn't a Ponzi scheme it's a data mine. Survey apps take all your data right in front of you, and make tons of money. You can't do that on Minecraft. It's majority playerbase is kids under 13, playing on a PC, and why should they play your skyblock and not hypixel?

The server could work but you need to answer the question "Why should they play our server", because just advertising it as a crypto skyblock server isn't enough incentive.

If you can find a way to make it work, it would make great content though.

Just because they haven't been caught yet* doesn't mean you wouldn't get caught. Also Mojang is taking a very hardline with Minecraft nfts/crypto-related projects. Also developing a server like this would be incredibly expensive and hard ($10000+).

Personal thoughts: 20 CRO its about ~5$ dollars, who wanna pay 150$ for a rank and get 5 dollars each month?, I don't want to wait 30 months to recover my invest... but THIS HAS POTENTIAL, I understand the idea and I love it so I thought how could it be better received by gamers:

maybe if the gameplay is very well polished and as an extra you offer CRO rewards (which EVERYONE can access), and not as the main attraction (dont advertise like a FREE MONEY SERVER, because it will attract kids without money who will do anything to earn a few cents), or another option is to pool the CRO obtained in 1, 2 or 3 months and give it to the top 1, 2 and 3 (idk if this is against the EULA), just some ideas, hopefully I can see it one day finished!!!

In my opinion, it's best to look for an investor and do a good job of looking at what you're doing.

if you have a good past in doing Minecraft servers, there might be crypto projects willing to sponsor it. You have to look for the right one. But MC Crypto servers tend to fail.

One personal idea I have would be to create a standard server, just like the others, but transform the vault economy into a cryptocurrency based only on the server. Automatically create a wallet for a player. Unexperienced players can play normally, and experienced ones can use /seedphrase to get the seed phrase and use the wallet with an app. This would allow players to trade their in-game money for real one, needing to limit some stuff only to server donators to keep it alive. But I believe this is a lot of work to do considering any type of vault transaction needs to be rewritten, and also a specific blockchain needs to be chosen (fast transactions & stupidly low fees needed). Also, if the server gets hacked in some way, it's gonna be a pain to solve the damage done to the crypto - if you do it in time before it's sold.

I know that a few people have already expressed their opinions on this, but I also want to share mine:
In general, I think the idea is great. However, the server would then depend on which would interact with it, since it has already been stated here that a large number of children would then use this. I also assume that the server will be very dependent on the market since the payouts are in CRO and not Fiat based. The technical implementation would not be easy and cheap, but possible. However, I see the biggest problem in the legal area. Especially with the Minecraft EULA, since, as already mentioned here, Minecraft pays attention to crypto projects and the ranks are also very much aimed at violations, especially for ranks that cost $150. But even apart from the EULA, it should be noted that you cannot simply issue crypto to minors, so a KYC would have to be carried out, which some people do not want (this legal situation is of course different in different countries). However, if you do not pay attention to this point, you will quickly have problems on the legal side.
Then it will also be difficult with possible sponsors, since most of them want to support legally safe things.


The implementation would also have to take place before the next bull market, since the server would then become popular.



However, I think the idea is very good and would definitely be interested in such a server. However, the implementation would have to take place at the highest and safest level.
