Hey all,

Recently I haven't been using my pc as much, sorta lost interest in anything pc related really.

I've been playing the crypto market for BTC and have made a good chunk of money in the past month(s) with the rise of BTC just buying low and selling high.

I've recently started using my PC for mining, using betterhash.net, and I'm wondering if anyone has anything better that I should look into.

PC specs are as followed:

CPU: i7 9700K
GPU: Nvidia RTX2070

Currently I'm making about $120~ a month off of this or $4~ a day. Just letting my pc mining while I'm at work.

CPU Algorithm - XMRig - 3635.60 H/s - ~ $8 revenue/month.
GPU Algorithm - Phoenix - 36.65 MH/s - ~ $120 revenue/month.

If anyone has some better ideas, guidance on something more efficient, or just want to discuss potential ways of gaining I'd love to hear it.

I think thats a pretty good return with the specs you got, I would possibly look into doing eth mining instead (through ethermine.org) but it seems good for what you got.

Thanks! I'll have to take a look into that! Fairly new to mining tbh, I usually just sold high and rebought low.

Started out gaining free crypto from coinbase, swapping to btc and boom it sky rocketed :)

Any Ideas on if it's even worth it building a rig to mine / buying an ant miner??

It depends on how long your willing to wait to get your money back. If your willing to wait a year or so then yeah. It probably would be less, but you got to be patient, and if you are I think its worth it (assuming you don't live in a place where power is super expensive).

Seu retorno é muito bom. Você poderia me dar algumas dicas?
Assuming google translate is correct... you said:

"Your return is very good. Could you give me some tips?"

1. I'm not sure what the cost for electricity is for everyone, but here in the US it is relatively low and allows for decent profit when mining.

2. I use Betterhash, I've also seen people using Nicehash, but I get a better return from Betterhash with my hardware for some reason.

3. I have a semi high-end gaming pc, a NVIDIA RTX 2070 that has some very nice returns:

Keep in mind this is monthly profit, so keeping your pc mining 24/7 without any gaming. If you are using your pc and not mining you will have dramatically different rates.
