Agreed but say you sell everything for 500 then all of your custom plugins and maps are only going for 200.

There are several possibilities. Considering I received an offer for the lobby only that's almost as high as yours for the whole server, I might change the minimum bidding price here (if that's allowed?). Once again I need to talk with my partner before giving you any definitive answer, I hope you understand. Sorry if it sounds like a loss of time to you, but I can't sell hundreds of hours of work without making sure I take the best decision.

Just set a BIN and leave it at that, because if you change the minimum then it's not an auction, you're just testing to see how much you can get for it.
Just like you can't start an Auction IRL and then suddenly start changing the starting bid, once it starts, it starts. Sometimes you make way more, sometimes way less. Risk and reward. You're trying to take minimal risk, and you're going to end up losing everybody's interest and being stuck with some shady people offering you money they don't really have.

If you can't run it yourself, I'd recommend looking for staff, because a server like that will make you a LOT more. Like........ A LOT MORE. With staff to run it for you.

You're right, there's nobody to force him to do it, just one way he pisses off some people, and the other he gains some respect for.

It always starts out thinking "I've got this great product, people are going to bid SO much I know it! The community will really like this!"

Then it ends up "Man I'm getting a lot of wishy washy feedback, maybe it was worth WAY more, uh-oh, what if I'm basically throwing it away!? All my hard work! I gotta bump the price just incase!"

Similar to breaking up with a girlfriend, you don't know how much you miss something, until it's gone, or in the process of being gone.
The server is his girlfriend. And he's starting to panic thinking about how much he's actually losing.

Really OP, if you see this, cancel the sale, keep the server, add me on skype, let me help you out.

Get some investors to help you start it, get some staff hired, let the snowball roll. Don't give up a good thing. You have a really hot girlfriend...

Yea you're right, I can't change the rules. So I'll just wait until the 48h run out, and decide if I sell the server to the highest bidder on this website or not depending on the offers I get.

I wouldn't even ask for 50/50 honestly, but he's chosen to continue with the bidding. I would bid myself gladly but I've recently had my car coolant system become garbage so it's costing a few hundred in parts for me to re-do that.
