Requirements and other relevant information
I am looking to build myself a new custom desk, my dad has been a carpenter for years and he is going to help me so I just need a design.

I have two way I could go with this, I could go modern or I could go rustic. When I saw rustic I mean I could incorperate logs and such into the design.

The design can be done on a piece of paper or on a fancy program I do not care as long as I am able to understand the concept.

Do you have any rough ideas or pictures of what you like? Look at some other desks and see which ones you like perhaps and then get someone to design that?

If you can't understand from the picture, (I wouldn't blame you if you couldn't), I love the clash of rustic AND modern.
I was thinking three level light brown, maybe even gray-ish natural logs for support, carved out for storage of your setup and gear; then a single or two really dark brown seamless slabs of wood, with a glossy finish.

The rustic would be underneath, the combination of the two with the glossy slab of wood, and on top all of your new gear.

I'm a god awful artist; with very few colored pencils, and no idea what chair you're using. But there you have it.

I drew a sketch of something that was on my mind, hopefully you'll like it . I think you should really go for a rustic style for the desk; it really adds a unique look. In the front of the desk (under PC tower), I was thinking about having the space be cabinets or something like wooden planks (just like the side of the pillar to the left). The arrow on the corner is pointing downwards to indicate another thick pillar to obviously support the desk. One more thing to notice is the net I drew underneath the desk. It is SO helpful to have a net underneath your desk, it holds and organized all the cords your desk is going to hold. You could also tape the cords to the bottom of your desk if you want to.

I made a smooth design, so everything fits well on the desk. in the front the desk is made of glass with light in it (gives a spectacular effect). Soundbars on it as well, if you use them... On the right side you can find a box where you can put all your stuff etc. in it. So, it stays well organized (if you are gonna use it) So yeah I hope everything is clear of you and goodluck with your desk.
