All the time you see users post countless, useless "new emoji" suggestion. When in reality, only them and a select number of users would use it. That's why I think this add-on should be used on mcm, https://xenforo.com/community/resources/nobita-emoticons-user-smilies-stickers.2488/. This addon allows users to set their own emojis that they can only see on the drop down menu. This will allow users to use their own emojis without having to go out into the web and finding the same picture over and over again. The add-on is $15 but I think it's affordable :).

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

One problem I see, people abusing it and being toxic to other people. Also, putting a dick pic as a emoji. Idk it just came to mind.
2 things of which are already against the rules.

Yeah, but there will always be that one person :p
They'll just be banned. I know however, that I would love to use some emojis that are not currently in the default emojis.

This isn't adding anything real to the forums. I feel like everything being suggested lately is cosmetic and nobody cares about any real features.

That's not to say I don't like the idea. It's alright, but certainly not something I care about or deem important, by any means.

Some cosmetics are fine, don't get me wrong. I wish there were suggestions that suggested more real features rather than simple cosmetic things like this that aren't really meaningful. Just my thought.

My opinion? We could use the $15 from this add-on to develop a real feature that would actually be useful to a marketplace like this.

This isn't purely cosmetic. This actually helps by being able to put certain images into the emoji drop down menu. This helps you post images or "memes" that you may have without having to find them. This also stops all the "NEW EMOJIS!1!1!1!" suggestions. We have a diverse community and this will help deliver to all of them.

It's mostly cosmetic and its still an unncessary $15 that could put toward the development of an actual feature.

We could just as easily add emojis to the collection that everyone can use and I think that would be a better option. I can't justify spending the $15 here and I'd personally rather see it go to something real that a marketplace could use.

This is a real feature and wether you like it or not, these forums are more community based than market based. The faster you realize that, the faster you'll see this suggestion is a step forward and not backward. There's a reason why this forum has so many posts with so little members. Other forums that are much greater in size only have a handful of members with a few thousand posts. We're different, we're a community and we keep coming back to talk to friends we've met here.

It's not a real feature, in my eyes. We'll have to agree to disagree on that, because I don't see me being convinced otherwise.

Now, don't put words in my mouth. I never said I see it as a step backward, but I most certainly don't see it as a step forward at all. I'm probably not gonna be convinced otherwise on that either, so agree to disagree.

Yes, it's a community. That's fine and all, but this is still a marketplace and it should still be treated as such, regardless. Community oriented features are fine, but my argument remains the same.

The $15 would be better spent elsewhere, IMO. Agree or disagree, I don't care. My opinion hasn't changed though.

A big portion of the community could disagree with your statement. Anything new is a step forward. Wether it is something that improves everything or a feature such as this that could be useful and a neat little feature.

Just because this is a community based feature doesn't mean we'd push over any marketplace based features. We can do both and satisfy all sides of the community.

$15 is already well spent with this feature and if money is really that tight, this can easily be made a donator feature which will be an extra incentive to buy a rank on the forums.

No. The emojis are controlled by Ajdin and the team, and that's how it should stay. MCM is a friendly place, and just "banning" someone for putting an offensive emoji isn't enough. What if a person was seriously offended? Just banning the OFFENDER may not be enough unfortunately.

The emojis you set are only visible to the person that set those to the emojis so if I set emoji for myself you wouldn't be able to see it. It's not even about someone setting an offensive emoji, they would be banned for posting that offensive picture either way.

So if only you can see that emoji, whats the point?

No, you're a bit confused. You will only see the emoji in the drop down menu while if you post it, anyone can see it. It's an amazing feature. An emoji is basically just a picture that you post but it will be easier to use all your wanted "memes" with an easy to use emoji drop down menu.

A big portion could disagree with me and they are entitled to do so. I don't care if they disagree and they are welcome to try and convince me to change my opinion if they wish.

I disagree that it would be well spent. If a way was needed to waste money, this would accomplish that.

Look, I'm not saying it's a bad feature. It's a neat feature, sure. If it gets added, fine, it gets added. We have yet another neat little feature. Obviously, I'm not the one spending the money and what Ajdin wants to do with his money is quite up to him. If he wants to buy this addon, he can. This is one of those things that I'm not gonna complain about it if it's added. Do I think it should be added? Not personally. Am I going to care if it's added? Absolutely not.

I'm also not saying we shouldn't add community-based features. However, this is a marketplace forum and I would argue that way too much focus is being made on cosmetic and "community-like" features like these that aren't really beneficial to anyone at all. Just another gimmick or "nice feature" that everyone will enjoy playing around with the first week after it's added and then people won't care all that much anymore.

The small picture is that it's a nice feature and it looks good on paper. The bigger picture is that nobody is going to care a month after it's added and it won't bring anything useful to the table. It's just another gimmicky little feature.

Well you wouldn't change your mind if it saved the world. This is an awesome feature that would be useful for a certain upgraded rank to have. Ajdin is always talking about having more features for supreme and this could be one of them. I know many users like to have emojis of their own such as, "salty", "savage" and many more. Now they can do that! It's pleasing users that have made mcm what it is from their donations and purchase of ranks.

If you wouldn't complain if it was added then you aren't really disagreeing, you just don't really care. For $15 you could potentially get 1 user seeing another user using really cool emojis and want to upgrade to supreme and you already made your money back, that quickly.

This is beneficial. It allows users to use their own custom emojis in an easy drop down menu, if you're not going to be using it that's fine with the members who will be using it.

I would, if it saved the world. Obviously, this suggestion isn't going to do that, now is it?

I am disagreeing. I can still disagree and not complain if the outcome doesn't go how I think it should. Though, you're right. In a way, I don't care either. But if I truly didn't care at all, I wouldn't be responding to this thread. Hell, I probably wouldn't be here at all. So, obviously, I care a little. Enough to respond to the thread and express my opinion.

It's really not beneficial in the long run. It's a neat little feature, but there's really not anything to benefit from. Okay, maybe convenience, I guess. But I'm thinking about the bigger picture, not a small picture where I'm the only user I care about.

I was obviously exaggerating on that.

I think it will be beneficial as it will be seen as one of the better features of upgrading to supreme. It's not even convenience, people don't post images like they would post emojis because they simply can't. It takes too long to find the picture each time. I'm sure BeBosny should have no problem implementing this if enough people agree.
