Hello,

So I have the old plugin that used to be on spigot and made by iCodeTits on spigot. The dev is inactive and the plugin got deleted. I still have the jar saved. I still use it on my server. This is probably still the best crate plugin I've ever owned.

I'm trying to update my server to 1.9 but after updating this plugin it just has had issues... what I mean is this plugin says "you need a <identifier> key to open this" when it's obviously the right key, and the crate particles don't work as well.

At the end I need someone who can fix this in the jar if that's even possible.

So at the end I need a developer who can fix and update this plugin if that's even possible editing someone else's code.

These kind of plugins are found publicly in the internet, the plugin is leaked and you can't use it. Getting leaked plugins is wrong and can get you banned in spigot, and send you rats or memory leaks in your server as well. Also quick side note that decompiling plugins is against spigot TOS.

lol. First off, this plugin is not leaked I bought this and always had this in my folder from my old computer for over 2 years now. 2nd, the plugin is deleted and inactive meaning the old owner does not own this anymore, nobody owns this so im free to do whatever I want with an inactive plugin.

Hey man! I 100% suggest you to use ItemCrates. Its 100% in game with two different type of crates! You can customise everything, the block of each crate, the key of each crate, what you want the background to look like when you roll - pretty much everything is customisable! It also has /redeemkey and such for you active players!

Thanks for the info but I've tried other crate plugins and it's nothing the same as CustomCrates and I much rather do this in a config since I could customize the messages and add any symbols etc.

I did and nothing happened just like I thought. That's why I just needed a plugin dev to help update this cause I know it's possible and shit.

Yeah if you find the right guy, or you could try find the actual devs Skype and offer him money to fix it

Money possibly. Right now it's for devs who are trying to get practice and better at coding and tbh I'm not really in a rush to get this fixed. But in the late future I may just do that.

Without access to the source code of the plugin it is highly unlikely anybody will edit aforementioned source code.

Oh, yeah, and also: there is a reason why the particles might not work. 1.9 added a new feature to the spigot api built-in to spawn particles, back in the day you had to use NMS or reflection to be able to spawn particles, OR use the deprecated method(which to be honest I think was not there before 1.7 but I could be wrong).

However as for the identifier it might be that he has hardcoded colors and it simply didn't work out. That's my two cents.
