DotDMC is a one of a kind apocalyptic themed factions server with a variety of features from Firearms and Vehicles, more intense monsters and hostile NPCs, loot filled cites and custom raiding mechanics, and many many more! Server Features
The basis of DoTD is factions. The server features a factions system allowing players to join and create factions within which they can build a base, gain power, and accumulate wealth. After an initial beta season of a currently undetermined length, the server will experience ‘seasons’ each lasting 90 days. At the end of each season the faction with the highest balance will receive $10 store credit given to each member of the faction, and $150 USD paid to the leader of the faction. These rewards are subject to change from season to season. We plan to provide large user-influenced updates to the server in between each season.
The Dead Zone is our nickname for the center region of our map. This region is a 5000x5000 custom terrain dotted with abandoned towns and villages. The towns are filled with chests that automatically restock every 30 minutes and contain anything from building blocks to guns to armor to even Elytras. However the loot isn’t free! The towns have been taken over by troops of heavily armed bandits.
Every 2 hours and airdrop is dropped randomly throughout The Dead Zone containing high tier loot. Bring your guns! These airdrops not only attract hostile greedy players, they also attract a lot of monsters, so be ready for a fight! Players cannot create faction claims or build/break blocks in this region. The Dead Zone is surrounded by naturally generated 1.18.2 terrain where players can build bases, gather resources, and raid one another to their hearts content!

DoTD features a custom made C4 Raiding System, and custom base building blocks.
Custom Blocks
Hardened wood planks - 3 explosions.
Cobble stone - 2 explosions.
Hardened Cobble Stone - 5 explosions.
Obsidian - 6 Explosions.
Hardened Obsidian - 8 explosions.
Bedrock - 10 explosions.
Custom Blocks
- Players can craft hardened wood, cobblestone, and obsidian by crafting each respective building material with iron ingots. These blocks are more powerful then their respective vanilla variants.
- Players can craft C4 charges or find them in loot chests or airdrops. C4 charges can be placed in enemy faction territory, however they are much more expensive than regular TNT requiring TNT, gunpowder, diamonds and emeralds to craft. Once placed the C4 will detonate after 10 seconds. You may only place 1 C4 every 30 seconds.
- C4 and regular TNT offer the same explosive damage, so feel free to use whichever raiding method you’d prefer. However, TNT cannot be placed within faction territory and must be launched from outside the target factions territory. Listed below are the block strengths for each common base building material.
Hardened wood planks - 3 explosions.
Cobble stone - 2 explosions.
Hardened Cobble Stone - 5 explosions.
Obsidian - 6 Explosions.
Hardened Obsidian - 8 explosions.
Bedrock - 10 explosions.
This server features a selection of fully functional vehicles that allow for better transportation across the map.
Our realistic survival system makes staying alive a bit more intense! Here’s what it adds.
- Thirst. As time passes and you do things your thirst will increase. Eventually you will need to drink water from a water bottle or you will die of dehydration.
- Illness. Periodically the server will pick a random player to become ill. Infected players will need to craft medicine to cure their illness.
- Broken bones. Falling from high places may break your legs. You will have to craft a bandage to heal your injuries.
To up the dangers of traveling at night, accompanying the vanilla zombie and mobs are 8 custom zombies. These zombies include zombies that explode on death, zombies that are really fast, zombies that stack on top of each other, zombies that are slow and do a lot of damage, and zombies that spawn between 0-4 regular zombies when killed.
