When I deactivated my ad, I just wanted it not to be entered into the next auction. However the system automatically removed it from the current advertisements. So my ad is no longer displaying even though I paid for it.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

if you want it to not be in the next auction then change the bid to 0.15, There is no bug as deactivating a ad removes your ad from the auction even while it has a postion in the top 6.

I can definitely see where the confusion comes from, and agree that we should make a change to fix the issue. How about when your ad is currently active and you click the 'Deactivate' button, it'll open an additional popup asking:

When would you like your ad to be deactivated?
  • Immediately stop my ad from displaying publicly
  • At the end of the current auction cycle

Or something along those lines. A better phrasing would probably help, but you get the point of it. We're switching the ads system to be weekly auctions rather than daily auctions, so this problem will get 7x worse if not resolved before then.

P.S. Sorry about the confusion with it atm, I've gone ahead and refunded you the full amount of your most recent day where you lost time due to the misunderstanding.

This would be great and informative!
I remember loosing the designated time of my resource ad when I had the same idea as Tobias while deactivating the ad. This should be implemented.
