So I am buying a dedicated server and I need some help deciding if it is going to be work my money to buy and use for my hosting company.

Specs:
I am spending 250 on the servers and the collocation is 80$. I am buying 2 servers the spects are:

Dual Intel Xeon 5620
32GB RAM each 480GB SSD
8 cores
2.4GHz
40 GBPS DDOS Protection
Data Center: Fibertown in Bryan Texas.

Im getting 2 of these for 250

Is this good for MC Hosting
Is it worth the money.

Type
Offering
PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Hmm, 2.40GHz might be a bit low for Minecraft hosting.
You could get them at that price and upgrade the CPU later.
Idk, most budget hosting for MC is 2 GHZ. They run fine.

I could be wrong, but for servers with less than 50 players, it should be fine.

Budget at OVSUS is 3.30GHz.
I'm not sure about your statement. I believe most hosts use 2.8GHz and above.
I don't even think it'll hold 50 players.
True. Maybe not that much. I have done some testing on older hardware, and I have seen promising results.

Of course you should go for a higher clock speed, or you could just overclock.

I always try and go for 3GHz + for CPUs.
I'd say get a E3 processor, but their mostly in the $200s for that alone.

That's quite old hardware really. Minecraft is a single threaded application and benefits from more speed per core, therefore E3 processors are best suited to the job. You really want CPUs with 3GHz+ per core.
