I recognise those servers and prices!

Attention: Shitty Provider

This host is using SpectraIP.net. SpectraIP is a complete pile of shit.

Here's why Spectra sucks:
  • Random network outages because of equipment restarts
  • No KVM over IP unless you pay (you are locked out of a screwed up install unless you pay)
  • No remote hands unless you pay (see above)
  • Colocation? You'd better hope to God it all goes right, because otherwise you'll be arguing with them for days.
  • Refunds? Only on Fridays!
  • "We'll get it done by tomorrow" = "We'll get it done by next month" (Jayson can vouch for this)
  • They do not do what you ask without a massive fuss.
  • They fucked up Jayson's Foxconn server and tried blaming it on me.
  • Giving them a bad review, or complaining about service will lead them to argue with you.
  • They will randomly move your server into a new rack on occasion (had this happen to me a couple times).
  • They do not provide the hardware you buy and then issue you a lower refund.
  • DC staffing? Only 1-3 times per month!
Alternative names of SpectraIP:
  • AlliumHosting (now shutdown)
  • Epsilon Hosting
  • Pretty much anything with Crosslights, B.V.

I wouldn't call it a company, and saying your "company" will fail based on a user review shows that you aren't ready for this market.

I do not mean that either .. but it's more about getting someone else's business through the sliver to break down other businesses!

Find another provider and maybe it'll work. Ditch Lucas and his crew, they're cunts.

Anyone that uses Spectra is going to fail. Same happened to me. Learn from my mistakes and get the fuck out of Spectra.

OMG why you do this? is not a shitty provider!
From my experience they are.
- Rarely visit the datacenter
- Absolutely NO free remote hands even the simple things
- Kvm over IP is not included meaning you're stuck paying for that and in the event of an emergency, you're screwed
- Did you know anything said on Skype is VOID if they said something else earlier in a ticket? Yea they used that with me.
- Unreliable time frames
- Delay refunds as much as possible
- For the most part stole my hardware-hey I got 425 back after a month but it cost more than that \o/

We do not share our experiences. I am a happy SpectraIP-customer since 2012.

Atm, I'm renting some dedicated servers and one colocation service. Support is great, response within 24 hours, clever and cheap remote hands (Why do you expect free remote hands? Spent time needs to be paid, time is money), a great connection (no downtime, last downtime was because they moved away from their previous datacenter which was finished professional and quick) and a very great price. I can't find any other supplier with the same value for money.[DOUBLEPOST=1494451890][/DOUBLEPOST]

Do you know the worth of a simple KVM over IP switch?
I asked for KVM over IP two times. First time free, second time only € 15,- for one day rental, which is a very low rental fee.

Yeah ok, coming from a member who joined literally today.. Listen to Samuel and Jayson. From my perspective I agree with Samuel your "company" will die awful quick from having horrible grammar and reselling cancerous hardware..

What. A quick button press costs $? Psychz does it for free
Do you know the worth of a simple KVM over IP switch?
Well...some datacenters and providers such as ReliableSite and Psychz provide free KVM over IP \o/[DOUBLEPOST=1494453902][/DOUBLEPOST]

However, they it takes quite a long time for them to actually connect it. I honestly feel like you work for CrossLight. They only visit the datacenter 3 times a month, time frames are unreliable. If you ask for something physical to be completed, it's almost guaranteed to not be done for at least a week.

Note that the ping provided by above users is from networks far away, or just generally shitty ones. I'm not saying that the provider is good, i just don't want you all to think that everyone is getting 85ms ping.
ping_1.jpg

Pinged from Sweden.
The ping was not there to prove anything about network quality. It was there to show that it's indeed SpectraIP.[DOUBLEPOST=1494465784][/DOUBLEPOST]

They wanted to charge me and Jayson just to power cycle a machine they fucked up.[DOUBLEPOST=1494465937][/DOUBLEPOST]

I can deal with a paid KVM switch when they don't charge you for shit that isn't even going to take 20 seconds.

Also, when I ended up paying for a KVM switch @ Spectra, Lucas could only set up users with access to all devices. Then he started randomly connecting devices to the KVM switch which likely meant that more users were added, which would've then meant that my servers were accessible by other customers of Lucas.

Also at some point he gave Jayson the ability to access my main server via KVM over IP. Luckily Jayson didn't do that, but the option was there to do so and I couldn't have stopped him.

I had access to your server, my server, and a random client of theirs >:)

Not really the most secure way to operate-at all.
