Recently, I have heard about many people getting really upset because they can only have one business account. Only because, the business account they made is no longer a business and they cant make another one. My suggestion "Delete MCM Account", will hopefully fix that. My intentions are that this will allow users to select an option to delete an MCM account allowing them to make a different business account however, it would send an email directly to the email that the account is registered with providing a link to confirm the deletion, Of course there will be warnings saying "This action is irreversible" etc. Secondly, when an account is deleted it will remove any reactions that account gave to other users to prevent reaction farming. Also, any threads that were made with the account will be unavailable to view. We could also, just make this action available to business accounts and not personal accounts which ties into my other open suggestion http://www.mc-market.org/posts/1510284/ .

I don't think the staff would have much of an issue suspending the business account for you to make a new one. They're not all that bad.

Um no. What if someone hacks into someone else's account and deletes it?

Forcing staff to suspend accounts rather than having a button made for it prevents people from simply raging and allows them to reconsider as it takes more time to contact staff.

There's a lovely thing in software development that is finally gaining more popularity. It's known as soft deleting. Been in use for years and years, but not many people implement it. You basically store the date/time it was deleted_at, then only fetch records where that's null/empty. That's the type of thing MCM would need on accounts to think about implementing this.

I honestly think there's no good reason for this. It's not worth investing resources and time to get this developed. People could also abuse this if they see a scam report on them incoming in the future.

Just another hassle to deal with.

I agree. Just out of curiosity though, do staff take suspension requests and count that then as an inactive business account?

No. We don't want people's content to suddenly vanish, period. If you want to make a different business account, it can be discussed with us, and we'll work something out.

Not really. Business accounts aren't supposed to be created left and right. You can always upgrade to premium and rename your account
