The warning system and the reputation system serve two entirely different purposes. Warnings and feedback exist on people’s accounts for incomparable reasons.
We’re introducing a change to have all warnings expire. Should we make all feedback expire too?

If you buy something in real life and the seller dies, the deal still happened. This isn't a good suggestion, but it works with the same logic as removing reputation from banned members.

I don’t believe anyone has ever made the argument that a deal didn’t happen once the banned member is banned.
That’s a common strawman that gets regurgitated in attempt to push for banned members’ feedback to remain.
How do you know who warned you?
Doesn’t the staff who warned you usually let you know? I’ve always been PMed by the staff who issued them when I get warning points.
Then if the deal is valid, there is absolutely no reason the reputation should be removed, even if the dealer is no longer part of the community.
Similar to how, if a punishment was valid, there is absolutely no reason the warning should be removed, even if the staffer is no longer part of the community.
I simply fail to see how anyone can view this differently. Reputation and warnings are different, yes, but the same principle applies to both.[DOUBLEPOST=1574169736][/DOUBLEPOST]p.s, even if the argument was made by someone with the intelligence of a diseased sea urchin, if the vast majority of the community agrees with them, then it should be implemented. Please the majority, not yourselves.
