High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I can't find how to do this anywhere, but how would you go about stopping random ticks in an area. Since I have floating sunflower stems in one of my builds, they all pop off due to nothing being attached to, any already existing plugins able to do this? Ticks need to be limited in a certain area not just the entire world

I believe you are thinking about "ticks" incorrectly. Ticks encapsulate the entire universe within MC. It is not associated with an area or entity. Ticks are running the entire time you are playing Minecraft, to do the math for well, everything.

What you are looking for is something a bit different. Worded differently I suppose. You need the flower to ignore its physics, every tick. Not remove the ticks completely, as that is not possible.

Bryce the thing you are not realising is that there is a difference between ticks and random ticks, ticks control pistons and day cycles and what-not, redstoneticks control redstone and random ticks control plant growth, leaves decaying and other random events.

Ah I see, mis read your title a bit. I remember there being a gamerule called RandomTicks you could use, but that would effect EVERY plant and not just within a chunk :/

You may have already tried this, and im not even 100% sure what the actual "trigger" of the plant break is. It could be triggered by "dry soil" (air might throw the dry soil trigger?) or just a generic "block break". But I have a feeling, ONE of these flags could be applied to a region in WG to stop the plant from breaking. Might be worth doing a trial/error on some of these flags.

https://worldguard.enginehub.org/en/latest/regions/flags/

Edit:

Here are some flags I would try:

time-lock: It could be time (the tick) causing the plant to break after X ticks without soil (so dry soil then?). Time-lock the region and try it!

soil-dry: As mentioned above, this could be triggering because the plant isnt even on soil, but is a safe result to yield anyways.

block-break: From my understanding this is just for when players hit and break a block, but nontheless, still worth a try as I don't really know "whats" causing the flower break.
