In short, just make it to where you can delete every post you've ever made. This should only be for Supreme people, etc. but basically instead of going through and deleting every individual post, make it to where you can mass-delete them.

Hm, personally I feel like people should be able to see past threads you've made just to have an idea of who you are.

I agree, but I also disagree. You can't just make a new account and pretend to be someone else because you'd get banned, but at the same time not everyone has shitposts and this would be a nice option if you wanted to start over.

Supreme users can already delete their threads, Carstonia is looking to have a mass-deletion option for posts/threads.
Right, but the thing I see being suggested is allowing people to have basically a fresh start

That's exactly what I'm suggesting. Supreme users can already do this, but it's tedious and takes ages.

And WHY exactly should we add this? Why should we allow users to just purge the entirety of their content?
We already can, it just allows for easier access.

Why wouldn't you?

It's not like MCMarket owns our content.

I see the case where someone does it by accident. Probably should have them enter their password if this is done.

I do see why people would want it done though.

In my opinion, allowing users to purge their entire post count doesn’t allow users to correctly see who they are and how they’ve evolved or stayed the same. While MCM doesn’t own their content, to protect buyers, sellers and others, it’s safe to keep the ability to a minimum (post by post).

I feel like users would overuse this feature for yet ‘another restart’. Which some users currently do with multiple accounts.. which is bannable! I just see a lot of parallels to potential issues with this.

Which is not smart.

How is it not smart? If they have scam reports, they can't delete those because they were posted by other people. This wouldn't include things like reputation, etc. Only posts/threads you have made.[DOUBLEPOST=1527525225][/DOUBLEPOST]

And again, we can already do this.

We can, yes. However the ability is limited meaning not a lot of people will do it.

I see no reason for users to ever go through their post history and delete everything they've ever said, and I don't think custom development should be done to make it easy for you to hide your history on the site.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
