Story:
Prima felt sweat pour down his chiseled face from his mid-length, jet-black hair and trickle down his pronouced cheeks to his sharp chin and fall to the ground with a faint drip. His foe, Concillium, took no notice of this as he continued to assault Prima with his large, paper-white fists.
Concillium was a colour-inverted, identical clone of Prima. The only difference being a large scar running down his left eye that shined with an ominous black light. Concillium's scar gave off a large burst of vis as he cast a dissulto causing him to fly backward in mid-air. "Envelop Entirety, Ater", muttered Concillium as a large black scythe materialised in his hands. Concillium cast another dissulto as he surged forward with blinding speed toward Prima. "Guiding Light, Alba", muttered Prima to himself as his mirrored scar on his right eye glowed with a radiant white light. And so did the battle begin.
Prima nimbly sidestepped Concillium's charge and countered with a slash from his newly-formed scythe; Concillium lept back and knew what had to be done. An aura of power surrounded them both as they got ready for the final clash, their faces as cold as ice, breaking the boundaries of their physical bodies and merging with their weapons forming wisps of highly condensed vis. They had ascended.
They flashed forward in an instant, too fast to be seen by the naked eye, their wisp forms de-pressurising and transforming in to humongous physical bodies of energy with the released forms of their scythes identical in all but colour. The blades arced through the air with the curved edges slicing through the air itself and whistling with a resonating tune of serenity. The blades connected and snapped with a sound identical to that of a twig snapping as that was all their combined energies amounted to against the convergence of their dying energies that formed the god-like being: Verto.
Glossary:
vis - Magical energy that is the essence of everything. Every animate and inanimate being requires a certain level of it to survive and also has a limit to how much it can hold at a time depending on the size of said being which increases in an exponent-style way meaning that larger beings have much higher limits than smaller beings. If an animate or inanimate being surpasses it's limit then the being in question ascends to a higher plane of existence in which beings of a similar power level live. The reason the ascension occurs is to balance power in each plane and create a hierarchical system of power in 2 pyramids: 1 tapering upward which represents the number of beings on each plane and another tapering downward representing the amount of vis on the plane with both meeting in the center known as orbis or the universe in which the humans reside. The other reason the ascension system is implemented is for reasons of safety; beings of lower planes cannot withstand the pressure created by beings who's power belongs on another plane as the condensed power radiates over a small area of surrounding causing the weaker being to evaporate into vis itself.
dissulto - A dissulto is a movement-type spell that uses the caster's inherent vis to speed up the caster massively or for quick, omnidirectional movement in situations that wouldn't usually allow for it such as mid-stride or whilst falling.
