Destined | No-Grief Survival // Feedback Thread

Hello Mc-Market community!
I am quite new to Mc-Market so I don't really know how stuff goes on around here.
Anyway! I have recently launched a new server which is named Destined.
It's basically a No-Grief Survival server with a bunch of custom features here and there.
Not quite sure how you will react to a somewhat basic survival server, but hey!

I was hoping I could get some honest feedback on the server. I have only just launched it so there's still some bugs crawling around here and there. ​

What are the features?
The features include but are not limited to:
A custom Mystery Crate reward system, Land claiming system, Custom enchanting and anvil repair system (which should be finished real soon!), A custom Skill mechanism that does not heavily influence PvP, Custom Market System to buy and and sell certain items which are usually obtained via farming, Completely custom Clan system, Custom crafting recipes, Overview of all players statistics and much more! Not to mention a beautifully custom generated world!


Clans
Clans are a big part of the server. Their main purpose is to replace Factions with something less "raiding" based. A clan is just a group of players who stick together. In a clan you can also unlock certain upgrades, such as a clan chat feature, a clan home, and a higher player cap. Wait a second... do we really need clans??? Well, the main feature of Clans is yet to come. Clans will be able to fight each other head to head in a team death-match.
This will include a prize pool which both clans define, fighting in your own gear in a custom death-match arena, and being the last one standing! Winner takes all.
I also have plans for various competitions involving clans.

Vouch for fishi, have known him for a while now and we art thou good friends- awfully talented individual with a great personality.

In terms of the server, I have been keeping track of the development for quite a while now and I've seen the sweat and tears of what's gone down behind the scenes. Lots of work and dedication has been put into this project and I believe that really reflects on the servers as they are today.

I feel that Destined has high potential for growth and I'd really like to see it turn into something bigger because it well deserves to be.
From gameplay experience- it's something I've really enjoyed but what really adds the icing to the cake personally, is the small details that I continuously discover around the server.. Really neat, love it.

I'm not bashing your server by any means, but may I ask why you don't allow griefing?

Personally, I find that most survival servers get rubbish when aspects like this aren't allowed. Not necessarily griefing to be an asshole, but raiding bases for supplies was a staple to any survival server I play or played on. I wouldn't consider a server a pure survival server without the ability to grief and raid bases. If a player's base happens to get griefed or raided, it should be they're fault. They should have taken extra precautions to prevent that from happening. I usually build X Ray shields or lava walls around my base and since I have been doing that I've only been raided twice on two different servers, mostly because my walls were built shitty.

Now I know I probably don't influence your server or ideas at all, but in the future I would definitely consider allowing raiding/griefing. It just spices things up.

I recently modified the griefing rule slightly.
As long as it's not claimed you're allowed to raid whatever you come across.
