Konichiwa business f0lk! So I thought I give some advanced tips on how to detect a scam beforehand. I kind of picked up these things overtime.
It's more than "Is the user reputable or not." Or "Confirm their mcm!" Even reputable users will sometimes attempt to scam.
☆ Of course, is what the user selling/offering seem reasonable?
(For example, does a user offering $200+ for an account thats worth 50-100 seem reasonable?)
☆ Is the seller/customer actually able to compose a sentence and use proper grammar and punctuation?
From what I've seen, most scammers are pretty dumb, they aren't exactly gifted writers. (Obviously some aren't dumb, but for the majority they are.)
☆Is the seller/buyer patient? Calm?
Most scammers have the tendency to act pretty edgy and impatient. They want the deal to be done without any questions or further conversation.
☆ Do they come up with a lot of excuses?
Scammers try to come up with excuses as to why you should go first. Saying that they've been scammed before, trying to push you to go first etc.
☆ Do they try to avoid questions?
What I mean by trying to avoid questions, is them trying to work their way around it. For example, (A user asks a seller who the previous owners of an account were, and the seller states "They're all reputable so it doesn't matter")
☆Do they deny the use of a REPUTABLE Middle Man?
This kind of relates back to "Do they make excuses?" Saying that they've been scammed using MM's and that they don't want to take that risk, once again pressuring you to go first.
☆ Does the deal itself just overall seem abnormal?
(For example, a seller says he's selling an OG thats 100 dollars, and in the conversation he keeps bumping the price down to 40 dollars)
These are some tips to help you detect a scammer beforehand. The main key is to pay attention to their BEHAVIOR, because, once again, even a reputable member can scam.
If you have any feedback/questions please let me know :33
